My design for the Destello chair originated with the idea of a hinged seat cushion hanging from the chair's structure.

I began by experimenting with how different materials interact with each other.

Wood against fabric, ceramic against wood

Then I began shifting small elements of the chair, like the angle of the back, and different leg formations before landing on the final form
